Pining for You, Hot Stone Massage, Lodge at the Lake
Tillie nail polish is a new nail polish brand by the Matillano sisters. The brand name is a play on their last name (how cute is that?). I heard about their polish from
Andrea's YouTube channel. She and her two sisters all have a love of nail polish and decided to create their own line.

Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a cool creamy grey, and the formula is super opaque. I've found that greys of this hue need three coats or so to be completely opaque. This one only needed two thin coats -- possibly one if you do a thicker coat.

Pining for You
Pining for You is a rich deep green. Think evergreen trees. I wasn't expecting to like this color as much as I do, and thinking about it, I don't believe I have a green like this in my nail polish collection. However, I didn't find this polish's formula to be as opaque as Hot Stone Massage or Lodge at the Lake.

Lodge at the Lake
Excuse the poor paint job on this one! Lodge at the Lake is a navy blue with almost purple-y undertones. This one is very opaque; I only needed one coat!
I'm so impressed with this brand! I find them on par with Essie, if not better honestly. I find that Essie polishes don't have a consistent formula, and their brushes are not the best -- though they have a great color range. This is Tillie's first collection, and their colors are already unique and rich.
Pros:
- Super opaque polishes
- Unique colors with lots of depth
- Long wearing
- Superb formula consistency
- Cruelty free and non-toxic
Cons:
- Only available online
- If you're on a budget, $8 per bottle can be expensive
- Pining for You isn't as opaque as the other two colors I tried
Overall, I will definitely be repurchasing these polishes. I want to buy My Favorite Sweater and Weekend Rendezvous to finish the collection. These polishes are high quality and definitely worth giving a try.
Check out Tillie's nail polish at
their website. Feel free to follow their
twitter or
Facebook page. They just posted a sneak peak of their Spring 2013 collection which will be available February 1st.
I really like the gray. They would look great today with some nail art. I can't wait to see more swatches from you!
