Valentine's in Houndstooth

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! It seems like people either love or hate Valentine's day, but I have to say I'm apathetic towards it. I definitely think it is an over commercialized holiday, but I do like the concept of a holiday dedicated to showing your love for your significant other, friends, family, or even yourself (though you should do that all days out of the year, haha!). For me, Valentine's Day signifies another year being with Craig. Today is the mark of 6 years together. We don't usually do anything extra special or buy each other outrageous gifts; we usually just go out to dinner and have a good time together. This year he works late so we're going to go on a dinner date this weekend. We're also exchanging handmade cards! I really wanted to give him mine today, but he wants to wait until our dinner. I'll share a photo of the one I made for him in a few days.

The holiday definitely impacted my outfit today as I decided to wear my magenta cardigan! I like this outfit because it isn't overwhelming, but it still has that Valentine's Day feel to it.
